That's exactly how you'll feel as a corridor of over 1500 glowing luminaries welcomes you to the sights, sounds and smells of 'Christmas yesteryear' in charming Augusta, Missouri. The town has pulled out all the stops and is ready to welcome visitors (young and old!) from near and far to create holiday memories to cherish.

If you are looking to experience the spirit of an old-fashioned 'Norman Rockwell-feeling' Christmas you'll find it this season in historic Augusta, Missouri. Visit with Santa Claus in the Olde Wine Hall! Settle under a blanket and enjoy a leisurely horse-drawn carriage ride through the crisp winter air, then warm yourself 'round the bonfire at the old town square while savoring freshly-roasted chestnuts. Afterwards, enjoy Christmas Caroling in the Historic church. There will be a town scavenger hunt with prizes and children’s activities at the Library.

See the Artisans and Crafters at the Visitor Center, then hop on board the free antique trolley and be gently whisked to the doorsteps of our shops and galleries showcasing unique & distinctive gift ideas including hand-blown glass, paintings, and jewelry … just in time for the season of giving.
