Opening at 10 a.m. The Queen of the Prairies Festival of the Arts transforms historic downtown Sedalia into a venue for award-winning artists, fine art crafters that draws art lovers and fun seekers from all over the state to this one-day free event. Presented by the Sedalia Visual Art Association and Sedalia Downtown Development, inc, the festival celebrates its 4th year in 2014. Visitors can leisurely stroll through historic downtown and marvel at works from Missouri's most talented artists, who display their original oils and acrylics, vibrant watercolors, captivating sculptures, dazzling jewelry, decorative ceramics and vivid photography. With such a diverse array of unique art displayed for sale at affordable prices, the Queen of the Prairies Festival of the Arts is a great way to purchase one-of-a-kind art for you or a friend. This year the festival will be held on Saturday, October 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Since its creation, Queen of the Prairies Festival of the Arts has grown steadily in artists and visitors. | ||
