The Downtown Kirkwood Mayfest is Saturday, May 9. Event activities include sales and specials throughout downtown Kirkwood, live music, entertainment, Kirkwood Garden Club's plant sale at the historic train station, the Artists in Bloom Art Show and activities at Kirkwood Farmers' Market.

At the farmers' market, located at 150 E. Argonne Drive, pick up everything you need from local producers and farmers to make a delicious Mother's Day meal for mom. Free food samples, a large selection of plants and flowers, and new vendors will add to the fresh experience at the farmers' market. Additionally, food trucks will be at Kirkwood Farmers' Market for Mayfest. Tropical Moose Shaved Ice will open for the season at the market at 11 a.m. on May 9.

After visiting the farmers' market, allow the friendly folks at the shops and fashion boutiques throughout downtown Kirkwood help select the ideal Mother's Day gift for mom. Choose from fashionable clothing, accessories, porch and patio decorations, items for entertaining and making her home more colorful and comfortable. Then, enjoy a leisurely lunch or a quick snack from the collection of unique restaurants and specialty food merchants located throughout downtown Kirkwood.

The Lucille Rapp dancers and tumblers will perform at Station Plaza on Saturday, May 9. Performances begin at 10 a.m. Station Plaza is located on Kirkwood Road across from Kirkwood City Hall. The Downtown Kirkwood Mayfest is coordinated by Downtown Kirkwood Special Business District. The Downtown Kirkwood organization serves businesses and property owners in Downtown Kirkwood through marketing, public area enhancements and administration of Kirkwood Farmers' Market.
