The Webster Groves Historical Society Christmas Market

The Webster Groves Holiday Open House has been a tradition in our community for over 25 years. It takes place on the second Sunday in November, and draws thousands of visitors every year from all around the Greater St. Louis area. This event is sponsored by the WG Trade Association, and many participating shops and businesses in historic downtown Webster Groves are open that day. There are refreshments in the stores, strolling carolers, Santa Claus, carriage rides, and a trolley to transport visitors around Webster.

Being at Rolling Ridge Nursery will place our Christmas Market right in the heart of the action. Rolling Ridge has been one of the St. Louis areas premier nurseries / garden centers for over 50 years. The same family has owned and operated a business here since 1894, and the original stable built on this site is still visible. Rolling Ridges Christmas store dates back to 1960, when they first began offering wreaths and holly to their customers. No visit to the Christmas Open House is complete without stopping at Rolling Ridge, where everyone can get a free sapling fir tree and refreshments. The Webster Groves Historical Society is proud to be hosted by Rolling Ridge for this event and we feel that it is an outstanding opportunity for all of you artists and crafters.

We will be occupying the entire floor space of the spacious, state-of-the-art greenhouse, plus several outdoor areas one is located along the front of the building, and the other is along the side where vendors may set up their own individual tents.

Good lighting is always an issue, and being in a greenhouse, let me assure you that this area is bright even on cloudy days. We do have the option to offer electricity to a limited number of indoor booths; please see the application for details.

Unloading will be greatly simplified as there is a large entry way on the same level as the greenhouse. And, you can set up inside (greenhouse) booths on Saturday afternoon; please see the Event Details page of the application for set-up times.
