| Description: | Dear Crafters, Artist and Food Vendors, The Marshall Solar Eclipse Steering Committee is making plans for the Solar Eclipse event in Marshall on August 21, 2017. As you may have heard, Marshall is in the path of complete totality that day, making our small town the ideal viewing location for national and international eclipse chasers. National eclipse experts say the population of towns in the path of totality, including Marshall, could double on the day of the eclipse, so we are working diligently to plan for this event, and the significant number of visitors our town will welcome prior to and during the eclipse. Plans are underway for a 5K run, "Shopping Under the Sun" (vendor and merchant shopping around the square), camping, concerts, eclipse day viewing sites and much more. Festivities will start Saturday, August 19th and continue through Monday, August 21st at various locations around Marshall. "Shopping Under the Sun" will be open Saturday August 19th from 9AM to 4PM and Sunday, August 20th from 10AM to 4PM. Security will be on hand over night. We invite you to be a vendor and benefit from our anticipated "population increase" during this timeframe. There are only 150 booth spaces available for this event. We are offering a booth special until May 1, 2017. Crafters, Artists, and retailers can register for a 12x12 booth for $90. After May 1, 2017, the price will go to $100. Food vendors can register for a food booth for $150 for 2 days, or $200 for 3 days (including Monday). Electricity is first come, first serve. Vendors will need to supply their own heavy duty extension cords. Be prepared with several hundred feet of cord if needed.
